Intrauterine insemination (IUI)

For patients experiencing minor infertility issues or when using donor sperm, an IUI procedure can be a beneficial solution. With IUI, we carefully inject concentrated sperm directly into a patient’s uterus to increase the chances of inseminating the eggs.
The first step is to begin taking fertility medications to stimulate the ovaries and produce multiple eggs. We then conduct a series of blood tests and monitor the ovaries with ultrasound sessions to determine the optimal time for the IUI procedure. A thin, minimally invasive catheter places the sperm in the uterus to inseminate the eggs.
IUI can be helpful for:
Ongoing infertility issues
Sperm quality
Cervical mucus problems
Donor sperm use
Individuals or LGBTQ couples
For patients who need help conceiving, IUI is less invasive, has fewer risks, and is often less expensive than other fertility treatments.
